William Fitters
Research Officer
I graduated from University College London in 2020 with a Distinction in Anthropology, Environment and Development, MSc, having studied Anthropology, BSc at Durham University. Within Africa, I am particularly interested in issues surrounding land eviction for rural peoples, the disintegration of commons land and its impact on wellbeing, fortress and community based conservation, and resource management in small-scale fisheries. In the UK, I am particularly interested in negative attitudes within BAME communities toward Western biomedicine and associated interests in alternative forms of healthcare and holistic remedial therapies. I am currently interning with the UN’s Faith for Earth Initiative based in Nairobi.
