Martha Garrett
Gender Equality Policy and Strategy
I am a graduate from Goldsmiths, University of London with a BA in Sociology and Politics and MA in Postcolonial Culture and Global Policy. I have experience working and volunteering with a wide range of vulnerable communities, including the homeless, refugees and asylum seekers and potential victims of trafficking. I am passionate about equality and challenging the systems of discrimination that are embedded in global society. More recently, I have been working at the Medical Research Council; administering funding of global health research and supporting capacity building in the medical research sector. I am excited to continue my volunteering at the African Health Organisation and contribute to wider understandings of gender and its impact on health and social care.
