Javier Elvira Mathez
Research Coordinator
My name is Javier Elvira Mathez, sociologist specialized in global public policies. Graduated in International Relations and Sociology at the University of Salvador, Argentina, with a master’s degree in Global Development from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
My focus is on people; I am passionate about being part of projects that genuinely create value, bringing innovation, provide data-driven solutions and foster health equity. For the past years, I have worked, directly or indirectly, within the theme of project and health research, in the private sector as well as in international organizations. I have worked at the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and have conducted several research projects in Latin America, Africa and Europe addressing the social determinants of health.
I am thrilled to be working as a Research Coordinator at AHO, to contribute towards identify key paths towards health equity and to tackle inequalities across globe.
