James Singleton
Freelance Journalist
My name is James, and I’m a final year English Literature student at UCL, and a volunteer freelance journalist at the African Health Organisation. I came to the AHO with the hopes that it would offer an opportunity for more journalistic experience in a vital sector. I have experience with green development and business societies at university and look forward to applying what I’ve learnt there to my work for the AHO. While I have very little history within the health industry, it’s certainly one which I would like to learn more about, and the AHO seems to me the ideal organisation with which to do so. The organisation embodies my belief that journalism and policy formulation should be as outward-facing, informative, and effective as possible in defeating surmountable issues, and ensuring that nobody is denied access to sufficient medical care.
