Emily Piper
Gender Equality Policy and Strategy
I am a BSc Anthropology Student at Brunel University London. Growing up in Tanzania allowed me to cultivate a passion and interest in international development. I am particularly interested in issues relating to gender equality including; violence against women and girls, female education, and women empowerment.
I believe that gender related issues are essential when conquering poverty as they not only improve the social well-being of women and children, but they also effect economic and political development. Therefore, through my research and collaboration with AHO, my goal is to contribute to a greater plan of action to end oppression against women in Africa.
