Dione Sarantinou

Freelance Journalist

I am Dione Sarantinou. I grew up in Greece and moved to the UK to study Medical Anthropology at University College London (UCL). I specialize in ethno-medicine, mental illness, ritual healing and non- clinical interventions to health (through art therapy, body movement etc). I love discovering and sharing real stories through writing, photography and film-making. I am a strong advocate of promoting the local perspectives and uncovering the truth. I have worked as a journalist for National Geographic Traveller (UK) and most recently I have been practising Health & Art activities with “Body & Soul” and “Wallace on Wards” (Wallace Collection programme in hospitals).
