Clarissa Harman

Chemistry

I am Clarissa from the UK. I have a background within chemistry, studying undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield. It is my time at Sheffield where my interest within healthcare and pharmaceutical industry began, after learning about drug development and drug targeting techniques. Following my studies, I volunteered for three-months in Bangladesh, working closely with the local Bangladeshi government and community to provide training and business development for residents of the community; and I was involved in creating two and expanding two existing businesses. It is during this time I became passionate about international development, with the belief that by working together people can bring about the change to end unnecessary suffering and poverty. I am currently studying PhD at University College London in Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicine, and once complete I intended to work within global health.
