Brittany Raymond (born February 24, 1995) is a Canadian actress and dancer. She is known for her role as Riley in the Family Channel series The Next Step
Brittany was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada to John Raymond and Paula Ventura Raymond. She is Portuguese on her mother’s side.
Brittany started dancing when she was four years old, following in the footsteps of her older sister, Samantha. Brittany started to dance competitively when she was six years old, and she graduated from her studio in May of 2013 and is currently a world class teacher at Joanne Chapman’s School of Dance. Brittany’s all-time favourite styles of dance are hip-hop and contemporary.
When she was younger, Brittany played baseball. Although, it eventually became difficult to juggle baseball and dance, and Brittany chose dance.
Brittany graduated from Mayfield Secondary School in 2013. In late June of 2013, Brittany and her family moved from Brampton to Georgetown.
From 2013 to 2017, she starred in the Family Channel series The Next Step, portraying the role of Riley. As part of promotion for the series, she has performed in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. From 2015 to 2016, she portrayed Riley in the spinoff series, Lost & Found Music Studios. In 2019, she reprised her role of Riley for an episode of The Next Step, and began appearing in the USA Network series Dare Me as Cori Ross
She is a two-time Canadian Screen Award nominee for Best Performance in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series, receiving nominations at the 3rd Canadian Screen Awards in 2015 and at the 5th Canadian Screen Awards in 2017 for The Next Step. She won the award in 2017
